Cookie Policy

1. About this policy

This policy explains how Conectir (“Conectir”, “we”, “us” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on conectir.com and in the Conectir application. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal information more generally.

A cookie is a small text file a website stores on your device. Local storage is a related browser technology that keeps small settings on your device. Conectir keeps its use of both to the minimum needed to run the service securely.

2. Our approach

We use only the essential cookies required to keep you signed in and to secure the service. We do not use advertising cookies, marketing cookies, cross-site or behavioural tracking, or third-party analytics. We do not sell your data, and we do not build a marketing profile of you.

Because we use only strictly necessary cookies, no separate cookie consent banner is required to set them. You stay in control through your browser settings (see section 7).

3. Essential cookies we use

These cookies are set when you sign in. They keep your session active and protect your account. Without them, you cannot log in or use the application.

Exact cookie names may vary as our providers update their software; the purpose stays the same.

4. Local storage (a similar technology)

We store one small preference in your browser's local storage: theme, which remembers whether you chose light or dark mode. It lives only on your device, is never sent to us, and is not used to track you. Clearing it simply resets your theme to the default.

5. Payments

If and when you use a paid plan, checkout is handled by our payment processor, Paddle (a Merchant of Record). Paddle may set cookies that are necessary for secure checkout and fraud prevention. Conectir never sees or stores your card details. See our Sub-processors page for more.

6. Third-party content

We load a web font (Source Serif, used for court-ready report output) from Google Fonts. This makes a request to Google to fetch the font but does not set cookies. We do not embed advertising, social-media tracking pixels, or analytics scripts.

7. Managing cookies

You can view, block or delete cookies through your browser settings — most browsers let you do this under Privacy or Security. Note that blocking the essential cookies above will stop you from signing in to and using Conectir.

Clearing your browser's site data or local storage will also reset your theme preference.

8. Changes to this policy

If our use of cookies changes, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date above. If we ever introduce anything beyond strictly necessary cookies, we will ask for your consent first.
