Cookie Policy
1. About this policy
This policy explains how Conectir (“Conectir”, “we”, “us” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on conectir.com and in the Conectir application. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal information more generally.
A cookie is a small text file a website stores on your device. Local storage is a related browser technology that keeps small settings on your device. Conectir keeps its use of both to the minimum needed to run the service securely.
2. Our approach
We use only the essential cookies required to keep you signed in and to secure the service. We do not use advertising cookies, marketing cookies, or cross-site behavioural tracking, and we do not sell your data or build a marketing profile of you. We use a single, privacy-preserving analytics measure (Vercel Web Analytics) to count page views and clicks; it is cookieless and does not track you across other sites.
Because we use only strictly necessary cookies, no separate cookie consent banner is required to set them. You stay in control through your browser settings (see section 7).
3. Essential cookies we use
These cookies are set when you sign in. They keep your session active and protect your account. Without them, you cannot log in or use the application.
| Cookie | Purpose | Type | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|
| sb-…-auth-token | Keeps you signed in. Set by our authentication and database provider, Supabase. | Essential | Session / until you sign out or it expires |
| Security tokens | Protect sign-in and form submissions against misuse (e.g. cross-site request forgery). | Essential | Session |
4. Local storage (a similar technology)
Alongside cookies, we keep a few small preferences and functional values in your browser's local storage so the app remembers your settings between visits. These live only on your device, are never sent to us for tracking, and clearing them simply resets the setting to its default.
| Stored item | What it remembers |
|---|---|
| theme | Whether you chose light or dark mode. |
| conectir.graphColour | Your chosen colour scheme for the connection / network graph. |
| conectir.scanExpert | Whether you turned on the expert view for SCAN statement analysis. |
| conectir.pendingJoin | A temporary note of a team invitation you opened while signed out, so we can take you to the right team after you sign in. It is removed automatically once you have joined. |
5. Payments
If and when you use a paid plan, checkout is handled by our payment processor, Paddle (a Merchant of Record). Paddle may set cookies that are necessary for secure checkout and fraud prevention. Conectir never sees or stores your card details. Our full sub-processor list is available on request.
6. Third-party content
We load a web font (Source Serif, used for court-ready report output) from Google Fonts. This makes a request to Google to fetch the font but does not set cookies. We do not embed advertising, social-media tracking pixels, or analytics scripts.
7. Managing cookies
You can view, block or delete cookies through your browser settings — most browsers let you do this under Privacy or Security. Note that blocking the essential cookies above will stop you from signing in to and using Conectir.
Clearing your browser's site data or local storage will also reset the saved preferences listed in section 4.
8. Changes to this policy
If our use of cookies changes, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date above. If we ever introduce anything beyond strictly necessary cookies, we will ask for your consent first.
